The APC chairman in Edo State, Jarret Tenebe, has accused opposition politicians of a plot to unleash mayhem on the state in a bid to make the state ungovernable and thereby tarnish the image of the Monday Okpebholo led administration.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, 1st April, Tenebe, said intelligence reports available to his party point to the opposition PDP as being responsible for the recent gruesome murder of some Northern hunters in Uromi. He called on security agents to apprehend the PDP Chairman in Edo State, whom he accused of working in cahoots with two other men based outside Nigeria to destabilize Edo State.
He further sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives and the Kano state government, while urging everyone to remain calm as the Monday Okpebholo government would do everything to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.
On the issue of the election tribunal which is set to deliver judgment on the Edo State election on Wednesday, 2nd April, 2025, the chairman maintained that his party was sure of victory, as there was no doubt that the mandate Okpebholo enjoys was freely given by the Edo people.
